hello… it’s been a while..
What is a challenge is it isn’t hard to follow through? As soon as I had made travel plans back in February, I had figured my 2024 Art Challenge was gonna take a hit. It was something I would have to put on the back burner for a bit.
I can’t complain about opportunities I get to travel, to escape the everyday, mundane routine but it definitely takes a toll on my journey of creating better habits and routines.
Regardless, I am back and ready to pick up my pen and paintbrush to create a little something new each week. And hopefully catch up on all the missing weeks.

For week 15, I had to ease very slowly back by creating a daily routine of sitting down in my little art area to sketch and practice. Recently, I have been very intrigued and drawn by Indian inspired folk art and other traditional art designs from South Asia.

Using my favorite ink pens, Micron, I created a bunch of small flowers first all over the piece of paper. Only after that, did I create the stems to connect all the flowers together, adding small leaves to fill in the negative space.
